This was an interesting. . . kid. . . I'm not a big fan of emos, probably because it wouldn't take much for me to turn into one. . . But that's beside the point.
I was at the Pizza Slut®, and this family of four came in. The older of the two boys, maybe in his mid teens, was all emo. . . Dark clothes, hair over the eyes, and an artist. I guess one of the two older women said that she choose a table to allow him to be able to moves his elbows around as much as he wanted when he was coloring in a book.
I thought it was funny because he doesn't believe in coloring in color. "If you want blue, you make it grey." Right. And he went on and on about how he couldn't understand why there were pencil packs of 10+ that "had different color greys in them! You only need one!"
What ever. He kept saying that there are only three colors; black, grey and white. And that was only of you are "really good."
The only thing I can figure is that he is totally color blind.
But I'm guessing that he's just weird. . . Oh, and he was getting really upset because his shading wasn't matching the shading in the book. . . Hmmm, don't need more than one pencil, huh? I know that there are lots of people who think that, but most of them at least recognize that each pencil in those sets are different hardnesses and that they make it easier to produce varying shades (grey isn't a color, either, it's a shade).
But I rant too much!
Laters!
