This is my submission for today's Photo Friday.
This is a picture of a sign I took a while ago on my way to Maine from Vermont. The sign says "1st NORMAL SCHOOL, Pioneer in Teacher Trainging, The first recognized school for the purpose of training teachers was conducted here by the Rev. Samuel Read Hall, 1823-25. Practice teaching was employed with 'Lectures on Schoolkeeping', which became, in 1829, the first professional book for teachers. 2.4 miles south at Concard Corners"
I thought it was very amusing myself.
