Shailla in Test Color February 17, 2007

This is Shailla in color. Well, a test of color. She may not actually end up this color, so we'll see. This was mainly a test to see if I could still color by hand or not. . .

I think I can a little bit, and I'm sure it'll get better as I practice. . . Now I just have to practice! And this isn't a coloring of the original ink drawing, it's a printout, you can tell because the printer cut off a bit on the bottom. Oh well! I may print her out and try again with regular pencils, or entirely of crayons. . . We'll see. I should draw someone else and practice on them.

Some of this is with Crayola crayons, and some of it was with the Crayola Twistables colored pencils, which seem to have a consistency half way between pencils and crayons (not that I've used regular Crayola colored pencils in years, been using Roseart. . .). . . I really like them! A lot! I went online and bought the biggest color selection I could find, which was a 30 pack. So, I'll have to relearn how to mix colors so they look nice. . . Well, I was never good at that, so I'll have to actually learn how to do that I guess. . .

Either way! I can't wait for them to get here!
