Is the art of Japanese Flower Arrangement. I like it better than the western styles because it's supposed to be asymmetrical. But I find it very difficult for me to do, because I have been raised on the western way. My instructor kept telling me the first time I did this, that I was making the arrangement too balanced, it needed to flow in one direction.
This pic is the result of my second workshop. Although mine was more sparse then the other students, I still liked it well enough. I guess I was being too picky, maybe trying too hard.
Either way, there it is for everyone to see. (This is just before I tried to take it home, and the wind blew away half of my stems because I had no way to protect it!)
