This is my submission for today's Theme Thursday.

I am really sorry that I haven't posted in a few days. But I went out to Houston, TX to visit friends. I had a lot of fun. Went to a RenFest, a Butterfly Museum, a Halloween party, and some other cool places.

Eventually, I will have albums in my main website. But, it's been slow going because I am sick. I thought that I was just allergic to Texas, my friends say that there are lots of allergens around there this time of year. . . But I still feel really super icky. Sorry if I gave anyone over there a cold!!!

Anyway, about the pic. I took this on October 27th (2004). I was really excited to see if I would be able get any good pics of the moon with my new camera. I think this came out well. This is a super cropped version. If I had a telephoto lens I might have been able to get a close up like this with more detail, but I think it cropped really well!

I opened it up in Elements, zoomed in to %200, then cropped out this little bit. And despeckled too, can't forget that. But I still think it came out well! What do you think? I've never had such a good pic of the moon before. And that's the reason why this pic is special to me!

Oh! The reason I was taking pics of the moon is because there was a total eclipse. This pic was taken about 10 to 15 minutes before the eclipse was total. It's the best of the ones I got. I was able to hold the camera amazingly steady for this one shot. (I don't have a tripod) The rest have a bit of motion blur. Oh well! :-) I didn't get to watch the moon come out from behind the shadow, I went to bed because it was getting a little cold, a little late and I was little tired. ;-)
