It Could Happen to Me! January 13, 2006

Oh wait, it already did happen. I won't say the name of the store, but the last store I worked for really tried to screw me over.

When they fired me they said that I was being discharged for lack of hours. I should have known better, but I just wasn't thinking. Anyway, I went to apply for unemployment. And received it for four weeks. And then the corporation that owns the store tried to fight me for the claim. They told unemployment that the reason I was fired was because I wasn't doing my job. they claim to have given me 2 verbal warnings and a written warning. I never saw any warnings! So the woman at unemployment made them show her proof of said warnings, and I don't think they ever got back to her, because she ruled in my favor.

I'm just waiting for something similar to happen this time!

Oh well. Corporations suck ass!
