I took this photo yesterday while on my way to drop of an application for another part-time position at a cool little japanese store in one of the local malls.
Every day I walk by this rather large fountain. It's big enough to be a wading pool. I don't know if that is what it was intended for, but parents seem to think so. On hot days, you can see lots of kids in there splashing about. Some dogs too, and that really annoys me.
Anyway. . . Yesterday some one had emptied all the water out of it and scrubbed it down with a big brush and sudsy soap. When I took this, the guy was rinsing out the fountain by hooking up a big hose to the hydrant and just blasting it. Ok, blasting isn't a good term. . . There seemed to have been significant lack of water pressure. (kinda like my house. . .)
I just thought that the leaky hydrant was nifty. Although, it would have been cooler if it had been leaking on a dog! :-)
Enjoy!
