Moving Day August 22, 2006

Well. . . I got back to the apartment I am moving out of soon, to find the landlady painting the outside of my door and the walls in the hallway. . . A~ and I had made plans, hours ago, to have my parents bring both of their pickups up on wednesday so we could move the last of the stuff. And we just found out that the landlady wanted to paint the stairs in the hallway, the only exit from our apartment, on wednesday. . . I quickly informed her of what was going to happen, and she said that she would do it friday. . . Which means that we are going to be leaving on wednesday, and not getting back until saturday just to stay out of her way. We were going to come back on thursday, but. . .

Oh, and she lost the keys to the apartment building. . . All of them. . . I guess she left them in her unlocked car (which she never leaves unlocked), and our neighborhood isn't all that great. . . A~ thinks that she "lost" the keys, and that she doesn't really trust us to give the keys back to her, but I don't know about that because we are supposed to get the new ones later this week (for which we won't be here). He figures that if we get the "do not replicate" keys (which doesn't really stop anyone), then that's probably what it was.

We'll see.

Or we won't.

It matters not at all.
